United States Regulations Added to the Food Additive Database

BCI is pleased to announce that the United States' food additive regulations have been added to the Food Additive Database and are now available to subscribers.

Included in this update are regulations from the Food and Drug Administration, the Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service, and the Department of Treasury's Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau.

The update is sourced from sections of the Code of Federal Registration pertaining to substances regarded as food additives, color additives, prior sanctioned food ingredients, and those generally recognized as safe (GRAS). It further includes food additive use permissions contained in standards of identity for specific food products.
